World Series for Ohtani and the Dodgers: Part 2

Hello, everyone!  We hope your fall is going well.  The temperature keeps fluctuating, but the weather feels comfortable most of the time.  Therefore, please enjoy the outdoors before it gets too cold.  Also, October is the most exciting time for baseball!  We thought we could give an exciting update about Ohtani and the Dodgers today.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading to the World Series, thanks to amazing pitching and one of the greatest performances ever by Shohei Ohtani. The Dodgers swept the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series (NLCS), winning all four games. Their pitchers were nearly perfect — Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Tyler Glasnow all threw strong games to build a 3–0 lead. Even though the Dodgers’ hitters didn’t score many runs, players like Mookie Betts and Tommy Edman came through when it mattered.

In Game 4, Ohtani made baseball history. He hit three home runs and struck out ten batters in six scoreless innings, helping the Dodgers finish the series with a sweep. In the first inning alone, Ohtani struck out three of the Brewers’ best hitters with blazing 100-mph fastballs and a sharp breaking pitch called a “sweeper.” It was one of the best all-around games ever seen in any sport. Fans at Dodger Stadium cheered as Ohtani dominated both as a pitcher and a hitter — something no one else in baseball can do.

The Brewers struggled throughout the series, scoring only one run in each game and getting just ten hits total. Their manager, Pat Murphy, admitted the team needed more energy and better hitting. Meanwhile, Ohtani’s legendary Game 4 may help him win his fourth MVP award and could make the Dodgers the first team to win back-to-back championships since the New York Yankees over twenty years ago. Fans and reporters agree — we should never take Shohei Ohtani for granted, because what he’s doing may never be seen again.
