Hello all you wonderful English learners! How is fall going for you? It is starting to get a bit cold, but the weather still feels pretty comfortable during the day in Nagoya.
Please enjoy the beautiful foliage and the crisp autumn air before winter comes.
Today, our topic will be this controversial figure:

Elon Musk, already the richest person in the world, is expected to become the first trillionaire. Tesla shareholders approved a massive pay deal that could give him almost one trillion dollars in stock over the next ten years. His ownership in Tesla could grow from 13 percent to almost 29 percent, but only if he can raise the company’s value to numbers that sound more like science fiction than business.
Tesla leaders pushed shareholders to accept the deal because they feared Musk might leave if he wasn’t paid enough, even though he is already extremely wealthy. Supporters claim Tesla needs him to lead the future of driverless cars, robot taxis, and human-like robots. Musk plans to move away from making regular electric cars and instead focus on selling more robots of different kinds.
If his plans work, Musk could become richer than anyone in history. It might make us wonder, though: should one person ever have that much money, power, and control?
