Hello all you wonderful English language learners! How is your April going? Many new ventures have started in Japan, so if anything has changed in your life this month, we wish you good luck. Please tell us about any recent changes when you visit BRIDGE again. As for today’s blog post, we thought we would inform you of a unique career opportunity for people who love video games!

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is trying to hire more air traffic controllers for American airports. There are not enough workers, and the country needs about 3,000 more people. The FAA is now looking at gamers because they often have skills like quick thinking and strong focus. A leader from the air traffic controllers’ union said this is a good idea, as long as safety rules stay very strict.
The FAA made a video to attract gamers. It says that gaming skills can help in this job, but it is a real career, not a game. Air traffic controllers help keep millions of people safe every year, and they can earn about $155,000 a year. Some workers say gaming helps them stay calm, think fast, and handle difficult situations.
What about you? Do you like video games? Have you ever thought about becoming an air traffic controller? Please share your thoughts about this situation when you come to BRIDGE again. Have a great day!
