Decision-making/意思決定
違いの一つは、意思決定の進め方です。
One noticeable difference is the decision-making process.
フランスでは、会議の中で意見交換をすることがよくあります。社員は自分の考えを伝えたり、質問をしたりしながら、話し合いを通して決定をしていきます。そのため、会議では活発な議論が行われることも少なくありません。
In France, discussions often take place during meetings. Employees are encouraged to share their opinions, ask questions, and debate different ideas before a decision is made. Meetings can therefore be quite interactive.
一方、日本では、会議の前に話し合いを行うことが多いです。事前に意見交換をして内容を確認しておくため、会議では最終確認や共有が中心になることがあります。
In Japan, many discussions happen before the meeting itself. Colleagues often exchange opinions in advance so that everyone has a good understanding of the proposal. As a result, meetings are often used to confirm a decision rather than debate it.
Vacation and Time Off /
休暇について
フランスと日本では、休暇の取り方にも違いがあります。
Another noticeable difference is vacation and time off.
フランスでは、休暇や有給休暇を取りやすい環境があります。また、日本よりも年間の有給休暇の日数が多く設定されています。
In France, it is generally easier for employees to take vacation or time off. French workers are also entitled to more paid vacation days each year than workers in Japan.
一方、日本では、長い休暇を取ることは簡単ではない場合があります。1週間の休暇を取ることさえ難しいと感じる人がいます。また、長時間働く人も多く、仕事帰りの電車や地下鉄で寝ている会社員を見かけることも珍しくありません.
In Japan, taking long vacations can be more difficult. Even taking a full week off is not always easy. Long working hours are also common in some workplaces, and it is not unusual to see office workers sleeping on trains or in the subway after a long day at work.
