Japanese Athletes in America!

Hey everybody!  We hope that you are enjoying spring so far, and of course, please go outside and see the cherry blossoms before it’s too late.

Today, I’d like to introduce a great young athlete in America who is getting a lot of attention these days.  Of course, everybody knows Shohei Ohtani and Rui Hachimura.  However, have you ever heard of Keisei Tominaga?  He is a college basketball player, and he attends the University of Nebraska.  Also, he’s from Nagoya!!!  His hometown is Moriyama-ku, but now, he lives in the middle of the United States and is far away from big cities like NYC, LA, and Chicago.

Nevertheless, he is becoming a little famous in America because his style of basketball is extremely exciting.  He is a great 3-point shooter and is super quick on the court.  Many people are comparing him to the NBA player Steph Curry.  His nickname is actually “Japanese Curry!”  Anyway, if you get a chance, please look at his highlights online.  Tominaga might lead his team to a national championship in the near future!

Thanks for reading and feel free to talk about sports and Japanese athletes with us at BRIDGE.  Take care!
